Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Welcome to Homecoming Pilates-your space to realign, restore, and return to yourself. Here are answers to some of our most common questions:

How should I prepare for my first class?

Come as you are—with an open mind and a body ready to move. Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing you can stretch and flow in. Bring a water bottle, grip socks (if you have them), and a yoga or Pilates mat for mat classes. If you don’t have a mat, we’ve got you covered—just let us know ahead of time.

What if l've never done pilates before?

Perfect. Homecoming was made with you in mind. Whether you're brand new or returning to movement after a long break, our classes are welcoming, beginner-friendly, and paced to help you build confidence. We specialize in guiding you gently but powerfully through every breath, stretch, and lift.

What is your teaching style

We lead with intention, empathy, and education. Our instruction is trauma-informed, cue-based, and deeply attuned to the needs of women of color—body, mind, and spirit. Expect grounded energy, clear guidance, and a focus on both strength and softness.

Is Homecoming strictly for women of color?

Our studio is founded by and created for women of color, which means our programming, culture, and care are centered around their unique needs and lived experiences. That said, anyone who respects and uplifts this mission is welcome in our space. If you honor and love women of color, you’ll feel right at home.

Do you offer private sessions or group classes?

Yes! We offer both:
- Private 1:1 Reformer sessions
- Semi-private training (Duos & Trios)
- Mat classes (small group sessions)
Not sure where to start? We recommend booking a consultation to find the best fit for your body and goals.

Where are you located?

We are located in Stafford, TX—conveniently near Missouri City and Sugar Land. Full address and parking info are sent upon booking.

Do I need to be flexible or in shape to start?

Not at all. That’s the point of coming here. You don’t need to earn your way into healing movement. Come as you are—we’ll meet you where you are.

Come ask questions. Come connect. Come learn.

Your first step home starts here.
